Rizqi Maulana
Rizqi Maulana was born in Sidoarjo, East Java in 1996. In his practice, Rizqi explores Javanese spiritual values, traditional culture and local myths, and the visual languages through which they are conveyed. These ideas are then reinterpreted and recontextualised to explore issues in contemporary society.
Rizki Maulana’s recent exhibitions include Aotearoa Artfair, New Zealand and Sydney Contemporary (both with Redbase Gallery) 2023, Solo Exhibition “Salvation to Save the Soul” Redbase Gallery, Sydney 2023. He has exhibited extensively in Indonesia, including at Krack Studio, Redbase Foundation, Museum Macan and Galeri Nasional Indonesia.
